Individual Membership

Ethnic Health Collective encourages individual members to become part of our work. It is most relevant for individuals who are part of the health and care workforce and are interested in collaboration to improve the health outcomes for ethnic communities. Health practitioners include midwives, doctors, community leaders, academic leaders, and public servants.
The membership is more widely open to everyone, and you do not have to belong to the health sector or the ethnic communities to become a member.

Organisation Membership

It includes health providers, government departments, community-based organisations, and medical and health professional organisations.
Member organisations can be government and non-government organisations or more informal networks that want to work together to create health equity and well-being for ethnic communities.
We welcome cultural groups and other informal groups to join the collective.

Mind Labs

Mind labs are innovation and solution design spaces. Here members come together to explore challenges, develop new insights, and create solutions, and facilitate actions. We learn about specific issues or topics, explore challenges together, create new insights and solutions, and share them with EHC members to test and use in their work.

Mind labs are open forums, and anyone can attend, but you must register your interest to be invited to the meetings. The Mind lab is established for specific purposes and exists only as long as it takes time to complete the tasks that have been set. Our Mind labs will be launched in April, and the inaugural mind labs will include:

  • Mind Lab-Public Health and Local Councils
  • Mind Lab- Ethnic Women Health
  • Mind Lab—Refugee Health
  • Mind Lab-Mental Health

LEARNING SPACES

We support our members through events, workshops, mind labs (topic-focused discussion and working groups), research dissemination, data analytics, insight gathering, and collaborative learning to enhance their day-to-day delivery. Most of our learning spaces are free.
